If you’re planning weeks of Disney magic and you’re traveling from the UK—firstly, I’m so excited for you. Secondly, let’s get that suitcase sorted. There’s a bit more to think about when you’re coming from across the pond, so this post is your go-to guide for what to bring for your amazing Walt Disney World adventure.
Not only is there a printable packing checklist for you below (yay organisation!), but I’ve also made a YouTube video where I walk you through the whole thing. 🎥
Here’s what you’ll want to make sure is in your suitcase:
Clothing & Accessories:
- 7-10 lightweight tops (Disney-themed encouraged!)
- 4-5 pairs of shorts
- 2-3 pairs of trousers or jeans for cooler evenings
- 2 outfits for evenings out at Disney Springs or dining reservations
- 2-3 swimsuits
- Swimsuit cover-up
- Pajamas
- Enough underwear and socks (or plan to do laundry halfway)
- Rain jacket or poncho – Florida showers are no joke!
- 2 pairs of comfy walking shoes (you’ll be doing A LOT of walking)
- Sandals for pool days
- Sunhat or cap
- Sunglasses
- Mickey ears and other Disney accessories
Travel Documents & Essentials:
- Passport (double check the expiry date!)
- ESTA visa waiver (apply online before you go!)
- Travel insurance documents
- Park tickets/MagicBand
- Copies of your hotel and flight bookings
- Credit/debit cards and some USD cash
- UK-to-US plug adaptors
- Mobile phone and charger
Park Day Bag Must-Haves:
- Small backpack or crossbody bag
- Refillable water bottle
- Cooling towel (Florida heat is REAL)
- Portable phone charger
- Poncho (seriously, it WILL rain at some point)
- Autograph book and pens
- Sunscreen (high SPF!)
- Snacks or energy bars
- Antibacterial hand gel/wipes
- Mini first aid kit (plasters, pain relief, etc.)
Toiletries:
- Toothbrush and toothpaste
- Hairbrush/comb
- Shampoo/conditioner
- Deodorant
- Razor and shaving cream
- Makeup and remover
- Skincare essentials
- Medications (with a few extras in case of delays)
- Contact lenses & solution (if needed)
Extras:
- Ziplock bags (for snacks, wet clothes, or stealing food from the buffets)
- Snacks from home (sometimes you just need a bit of Cadbury)
- Laundry bag
- MagicBands (if you already have them)
- Sharpie (you’ll need to put your name on SOMETHING)
- Scissors (to cut out those super long Disney tags)
Pro Packing Tip: Get yourself some coloured packing cubes! It’s going to save you so much time and effort – trust me!
