Heading to Walt Disney World soon and need some extra help around the parks? Whether you suffer from anxiety, diabetes or have a physical disability, a Disney DAS Pass could be the perfect fit for you.
The Disney Disability Access Service (DAS) available at Disney World is amazing, but the registration can be extremely confusing. Especially if you want to register before your trip.
So, sit back and relax as I have written a short guide on how to register for a Disney Disability Pass at Disney World, and how you can have your Disney DAS Pass sorted before you arrive at the most magical place on earth.
What is the Disney Disability Access Service (DAS)?
The Disney DAS Pass allows you to wait for a ride or attraction outside of the physical queue. While you will still need to wait around the same amount of time that you would have if you waited in the regular Standby queue, you can wait anywhere that you’re comfortable. You can even go on another ride or attraction if you have time. This is great for those who have difficulty queuing for extended periods. The Disney DAS Pass can be used on rides, attractions and character meet & greets that offer both a Genie+ queue and a regular Standby queue.
How to Register for Disney DAS Pass.
There are 2 ways to secure your Disney DAS Pass pass:
1. At Guest Relations whilst you’re at Walt Disney World
2. Pre-Registering via video chat.
For both ways, the person needing the Disney DAS Pass must be there, but they are not required to make the request. Someone in your party (such as a guardian) can make the request.
How to Pre-Register for a Disney DAS Pass from the UK.
If you’ve googled ‘Disney World DAS‘ and tried to click on the link provided (https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/guest-services/disability-access-service/) you’ll notice and it’ll get stuck in a loop and it sends you back to the UK homepage. This is on purpose. Disney doesn’t want anyone outside of the USA applying for a Disney DAS Pass before their trip. But for peace of mind, you might want to do it anyway. Below is how I’ll show you how you can get around it.
The first thing you’ll need is a VPN
And what is a VPN? It basically blocks the internet knowing where you are in the world. And you can appear from anywhere you want, for example FLORIDA! The downside? You have to pay. I’ve heard horror stories from people in the UK using a free VPN and then once they get on the call to Disney, they instantly say ‘I can see you’re not in the USA’ and will block you. So I honestly don’t think its worth running the risk. I normally use Surfshark which is £10.10 for a month. Once you’ve done your call, you can cancel the subscription! I’ve put below 3 options for the most recommend VPN’s out there.
https://surfshark.com/ £10.10 for 1 month.
https://www.tunnelbear.com/ $9.99 for 1 month
https://nordvpn.com/ £10.39 for 1 month
Got the VPN! Now what?
Guests can register for their Disney DAS Pass 30 days before their first park day visit at Walt Disney World. So if you are arriving on the 1st, but don’t intend to go to Magic Kingdom until the following morning of the 2nd, then you’ll need to apply 30 days before the 2nd. (I’ve made that mistake, so you don’t have too haha)
First thing you need to do before before you head onto that video call, it make sure you have everyone you are travelling with is added onto your Friends and Family list on your My Disney Experience account. You can have up to 6 people added to your account. That includes the person needing the Disney DAS Pass plus 5 more.
So, once you get your VPN connected to somewhere in the US (we normally go with New York) then you’ll be able to visit the DAS website.

The Process of Applying for the Disney DAS Pass
The process has 3 parts.
First you connect and wait to be contacted (this takes the longest). Then you receive a notification explaining that it is time to connect with your video chat representative, who will register yourself or your Disney DAS Pass user.

You’ll want to connect onto the chat at 12:00 noon as it opens at 7am Florida time. This should minimise the time waiting for the chat to be connected. Otherwise you could be waiting up to 5 hours (no joke)
The Cast Member will message you to make sure you are available for the call.
What will you be asked when applying for the Disney DAS Pass?
You’ll be asked why you need the Disney DAS Pass. The Cast Member will then want to know is why a DAS will help. Be prepared to briefly discuss your concerns with the Cast Member.
You do not need proof of your disability. You will not need to give a diagnosis, and doctor’s notes will not be looked at because of legal issues. Remember, even though you won’t be sharing a diagnosis, you will need to sign the terms and conditions agreement document, confirming that there is a true disability.
Here are some sentences you may want to finish to think about how to present your needs to the Cast Member in Guest Relations:
- Waiting in line is hard for me because …
- When I’m in line waiting I experience …
- Waiting outside the line helps me because …
The Cast Member will then decide whether or not you would benefit from the Disney DAS Pass system or not.
If you get approved, the Cast Member will take your photo using your webcam and put you in the system. And thats it! The Disney DAS Pass will be good for use in all four parks. It will last up to 60 days.
The final step is being connected with another Cast Member for planning. This Cast Member will set up your Disney DAS Pass selections, which are 1 hour return windows for 2 qualifying attractions per day.
Note that the attractions with paid Individual Lightning Lanes are NOT eligible for return windows through pre-registration.

Applying for Disney DAS Pass at Walt Disney World
That all sounds a bit too stressful to you? Don’t worry, you can wait until you’re at Walt Disney World and apply there!
Magic Kingdom: A Guest Services location is outside of the park turnstiles on the right-hand side. Guest Services is in City Hall.
EPCOT: Before entering the park, head to the far right. Guest Services is located outside of the gates near the monorail entrance. If you are already inside EPCOT, there are Guest Relations locations near Spaceship Earth and near the International Gateway entrance.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios: There are two options, one inside and one outside of the park; both are near the park entrance on the left-hand side.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park: Once inside the park, head to the left; Guest Services is in the first building you’ll see as you enter the park.
Or top tip, if you see any blue umbrellas with “Guest Experience Team” in the parks, you can sign up for a Disney DAS Pass there. It’ll probably be quicker than guest services, as these normally have long lines

Disclaimer
The Disney DAS Pass is not a way to skip the lines for free if you genuinely don’t have a disability. Although Disney will not ask for any proof of disability, if they find out that you have been lying, they will issue you and your travel party with a lifetime ban. And no one wants that. Please remember this is in place to help those needed extra support.
I hope this helped and wasn’t too confusing! I remember the first time I was applying, I was sweating so much. But once you get your head around it, its pretty simple!
If you need help with your next Walt Disney World trip, then please send me a message and i’ll get back to you ASAP.
